Our movement began in 2013 in Saint Petersburg and gradually gained support among young activists across the country.
After February 24, 2022, we coordinated anti-war protests and organized public demonstrations against the mobilization. As a result, the Russian authorities put Vesna on the list of extremist organizations.
Despite state pressure, we continue to unite like-minded people, organize public campaigns and bold street actions, cover important events, and produce counter-propaganda leaflets and instructions for those Russians who oppose the war and support democratic change.
We stand for...
Freedoms
Both personal and political: from the right of each individual to be who they want to be, to the right of citizens to shape the future of our country.
Equal rights
We believe that all people are equal and deserve equal rights. Gender identity, nationality, and sexual orientation are personal choices.
Bring Russia closer to a democratic future — support Vesna!
By card
From any card except the Russian one.
We know that Vesna (Russian for spring) is inevitable, but we are convinced that it will not come by itself. It’s our responsibility to bring it closer.
We support civil society through difficult times and help prepare for change. Working under constant resource constraints, we rely on your support to continue building the democratic movement, creating impactful content, and advancing campaigns and initiatives.
Please remember: Vesna has been recognized as an extremist organization. Act with caution. If you are in Russia or travel there, carefully assess the risks for yourself. Donations from Russian bank cards are not possible, but you can support us via cryptocurrency or Patreon.
