Our movement began in 2013 in Saint Petersburg and gradually gained support among young activists across the country.
After February 24, 2022, we coordinated anti-war protests and organized public demonstrations against the mobilization. As a result, the Russian authorities put Vesna on the list of extremist organizations.
Despite state pressure, we continue to unite like-minded people, organize public campaigns and bold street actions, cover important events, and produce counter-propaganda leaflets and instructions for those Russians who oppose the war and support democratic change.
We stand for...
Freedoms
Both personal and political: from the right of each individual to be who they want to be, to the right of citizens to shape the future of our country.
Equal rights
We believe that all people are equal and deserve equal rights. Gender identity, nationality, and sexual orientation are personal choices.
Bring Russia closer to a democratic future — support Vesna!
By card
From any card except Russian ones.
We know that vesna is inevitable. But we are convinced that it will not come on its own, which means that our task is to bring it closer.
We help civil society navigate difficult times and prepare for change. Spring operates in a situation of chronic resource scarcity. In order for us to continue developing the democratic movement, creating useful and interesting content, and promoting campaigns and initiatives, we need your support!
Remember: «Vesna» is recognised as an extremist organisation in Russian federation — proceed with caution. If you are in or visit Russia, carefully assess the risks to yourself. We cannot accept money from Russian cards — donations can be made in cryptocurrency or via Patreon.
